AGCLC Toddler Teacher

We are looking for a qualified Toddler Teacher to join All God's Children Learning Center. In this role, you will be responsible for the supervision, safety and  the planning of educational activities for our toddler and/or transition age group.  Our ideal candidates have a passion for early childhood education and are able to use this to create an environment of educational learning, social/emotional growth, support, and love.

All God's Children Learning Center (AGCLC) is an extension of the ministry of Valley of Peace Lutheran Church in offering families a loving, caring environment in which their children can grow, learn, pray and worship, a place where all God's children are welcome. AGCLC is a non-profit child care center and welcomes children from ages 6 weeks to 5 years. We are currently in search of the center Director position that is experienced in and passionate for early childhood education in our connected, loving community.


  • Supervise a group of children in our toddler and transitional age groups

  • Ensure best practices and core principles of child development and preschool educational methods are followed

  • Create lesson plans to meet learning and development needs.

  • Maintain an engaging classroom that is consistent with all health and safety standards

  • Regularly assess each child’s developmental progress

  • Communicate with parents/families on their child’s process through regular conferences and other check-ins 

  • Build relationships with parents/families and connect regularly to understand each child’s needs

  • Partner with other educators and staff in setting learning plans, capturing feedback on the children, and making broader decisions

  • Participate in staff development activities, staff meetings, and other school functions 

  • Other duties as needed and assigned by the center leadership


  • Must be DHS MN Rule 3 Teacher qualified

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Teacher or Assistant Teacher in an early childhood center setting

  • Passion and knowledge on the developmental, social, and emotional needs of young children

  • First-Aid and child CPR certified

  • Able to work 40 hours per week, between the hours of 7 am and 6 pm

  • Must be able to lift, carry and/or hold up to 35 pounds.

  • Strong communications skill interacting with parents, other staff, and young children
